We celebrate the African-American contributions of jazz and gospel. Featured are music by Elmer Bernstein from the movie "To Kill a Mockingbird" and the joyful sounds of the Pittsburgh Gospel Choir, a multi-age, multi-ethnic musical ensemble that performs America's rich gospel music. Also performed is "Symphony No. 1" (Afro-American Symphony) by William Grant Still, the ‘dean' of African-American composers.
