It seems like just yesterday we watched the ball drop and made New Year’s resolutions, and now it’s time again! From new businesses to special events to all of the little things in between, let’s take a look back at some Butler County highlights of 2017.
With all that Butler County has to offer, it can be easy to forget how big the county actually is. Since interning at Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau, I’ve had many opportunities to learn about members, but haven’t had the chance to go out and visit many of them. So, when Tourism Bureau President, Jack Cohen plans a day tour to visit Saxonburg and other members along the way, you get excited. Who could be a better tour guide?!
When it comes to shopping for antiques, just walking into a shop can be overwhelming. Making sure to go in with an open mind and never doubting that there is treasure buried within is a great place to start. Luckily here in Butler County, there are a few antique shops and shows with unique characteristics and specialties that are definitely worth the visit, for the new or seasoned antique shopper alike, because after all, you never know when you’ll find a hidden gem…
Many of you may pass by the Buhl and Passavant house on a regular basis as you travel down Main Street in Zelienople,PA, but I’m not sure many people are aware of all the rare treasures that await you on these properties steeped in history.
