The Harmony Silvester Celebration is a family focused event in Historic Harmony
that honors its German heritage by celebrating Silvester (New Year’s Eve) on
German time 6:00 PM (midnight in Germany). Prior to the race, there is a 5K starting at 3:30 PM, followed by a Children's 1 Mile Fun Run at 4:15. We will count-down to a ball-drop in German, followed by fireworks and singing of Auld Lang Syne.

5K field should reach 600 runners with up to 4,000 attending the Silvester count-down to the New Year.

All 5K runners receive a Frank Shorter technical race shirt (men & women specific) while they last. All 1 Mile participants receive a finisher's medal. Parents may run free with their children.

Historic Harmony has many unique art and boutiques for shopping during day. Also available are museum tours with activities for children; comedy short "Dinner for One", Bleigiessen (melted lead shapes predict what the New Year may bring). Traditional pork and sauerkraut buffet at Harmony Museum from 2 – 5:45 p.m.

Event Start Location
Registration will be held in the Grace Church Youth Center at 538 Main Street, Harmony, PA 16037. Parking available at the church and nearby. Changing facilities available are the center. Race starts and finishes in town square. Award ceremony also inside the center.

5K Course Description
Course is an out and back starting out going slightly downhill, then one large hill followed by a flat stretch parallel to the Connoquenessing Creek. The last 1/2 mile will be slightly uphill.
1 Mile Course Description
Course if flat and remains in town doing a loop.
5K - Top 3 Male & Female Overall. Top 3 Male & Female in the following age groups:
10 & under, 11-14; 15-19; 20-2; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70+.

Participants in the 1 Mile Fun Run will receive a finisher's medal.

Door prizes at award ceremony.

Packet Pickup / Expo
Early packet pick-up at Grace Church Youth Center (Dec 30th - 3 - 7 PM). Race day starting at 1:00 PM at the Grace Church Youth Center.
