The Zelienople Area Public Library is pleased to announce an evening of Native American Music and Sky & Star Stories on Thursday September 5 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The program will start with an introduction to Native American Music thru sound and video. A member of the Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center will be appearing in full regalia to share stories of the local Seneca tribes and other Native American cultures. There will also be a drum demonstration. Adults, teens and upper elementary students are welcome. Some stories may be frightening for younger children. Homeschoolers and scouts welcome. The audience will have a chance to try out drums, flutes, shakers and dance sticks. Refreshments will also be served. Registration is requested, but not required.
