Welcome to Recon Brewing's 3rd Annual Chili for Charity Cook Off!
Giving back to our community is a big part of who we are. This time, we wanted to put our guests in control of the cause. The winner of our Chili for Charity Cook Off will get to select the charity that will receive the donations. They'll also receive a $25 Recon Brewing gift card.
CHILI FOR CHARITY COOK OFF RULES
Do you make the best chili around? Join us as a competitor for our Chili for Charity Cook Off!
Each competitor must provide a $20 donation in order to sign up as a competitor.
No formal chili association rules apply to this event, only the rules listed apply.
The chili with the most votes will be crowned the Recon Brewing Chili for Charity Cook Off winner. We recommend bringing a large batch with you. Remember - this goes by votes so if you run out of chili, you could be missing out on votes!
Please prepare your chili cook off entry prior to arriving at Recon Brewing for the event.
Use your favorite recipe, with or without meat, with or without beans. Please have a complete list of ingredients readily available in the event that tasters have allergy concerns. If using peanuts or peanut oil, please display a sign.
Competitors are responsible for supplying their own warming equipment & serving utensils..
Sampling cups, spoons, and napkins will be provided by Recon Brewing.
Serving beings at 1pm and will continue until 4pm.
Competitors should arrive between 12-12:30pm to set up. Public sampling begins at 1pm.

ALL funds from entry fees and tickets will be donated to the charity of the winner's choice.
HOW TO SIGN UP
Interested in signing up as a participant or judge? Stop by the brewery and let our bartenders know or give us a call to get on the list. Donations are due the day of the event.
