Full- or part-time. Five- to eight-hour shifts. Fixed or flexible schedule. Mornings/nights/weekends.

Starting at $13/hr + tips (if no barista experience) or $15/hr + tips (if 1 year or more of barista experience)
Training will be provided.

My wife and I took over Millie’s Cranberry officially in September; however, I am no stranger to this location because I previously had been a retail operations manager for Millie’s for a little more than two years. Millie’s has always been a place for openness and acceptance, and that is something we will 100% be bringing to this location. We are very excited to be here and can't wait to start serving espresso alongside our delicious homemade ice cream. We aren't the first Millie’s shop to have coffee, but we are the first of its kind. We are a walkup and drive-thru window location only, which separates us and gives us a chance to try something new and learn things along the way. We are happy to have partnered with Mechanic Coffee Company, which is based in Verona. They are a small independent coffee shop and roaster that places a ton of care into their beans and the places they supply to. Come join our family in feeding people with a sweet tooth and quenching caffeine fiends.

This job will have you working both aspects of the shop—ice cream and coffee. We are looking to fill full- and part-time barista positions. You will be a keyholder. Current hours are noon to 8 p.m., but we will be expanding our hours to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. We are looking for people who can open, close, or both. Opening shifts start an hour before open so there is time to get ready for the day. Closing shifts will be scheduled an hour past close to ensure everything is clean and shut down. You may be on your own at times when opening, but we try to make sure two people are always working together, particularly for closing shifts. Coffee will be available to order at all times.

As a barista, you will:
Give customers an enjoyable experience and make their day a bit sweeter.
Need an eye for detail and a good sense of taste.
Have a willingness to get the shop clean and looking top-notch, inside and out.
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Communicate with others so that you are all on the same page for the day, particularly if there is a new product.
Be the face of Millie’s when management or the owners aren't around.
Keep up to date with anything new, and share it with those who may need to know.

Your responsibilities:
Make coffee and espresso drinks, such as lattes, cappuccinos, etc.
Maintain the machines by keeping them clean and in the proper setting.
Scoop and serve ice cream.
Change out buckets of ice cream.
Have knowledge of flavors, allergens, and other aspects of products.
Make waffle cones.
Make milkshakes and floats.
Run the register.
Make sure the registers have correct change and are at the proper amounts when opening and closing. Light banking is required.
Make sure customers are pleased and leave happy with their choice.
Keep the shop clean, and perform a number of other important duties throughout the day/week.
Make sure you and the next shift are set up for success.
