Preston Park has two areas of prairie grass. There is a multitude of grasshoppers that call the prairie their home. This particular grasshopper was resting on a milkweed leaf. There is always something to see when taking a walk at Preston Park. Most people miss the treasurers because they don't look close enough or they walk too fast. I love to just stop and watch for movement or listen. When I do this I almost always find something of interest. Dr. Preston used to live and work on the property. When he or his employees would either feel overwhelmed or needed to find a solution to the problem they were trying to solve, he would advise a walk around the property to clear the mind. Very sound advise if you ask me!
