The new sports complex, opening this weekend, will bring new business to the community

CRANBERRY TWP., PA (August 12, 2015) – After nearly two years of construction, Butler County welcomes the first-of-its-kind UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. The complex will serve as the primary practice and training facility for the Pittsburgh Penguins as well as a comprehensive outpatient facility for UPMC Sports Medicine. “We’re thrilled to be in partnership with the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex and we especially look forward to the new business the facility will bring to Butler County,” said Jack  Cohen, President of Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau. "The sports complex is a wonderful addition to the community and they’re great  to work with along  with UPMC. We’re excited  to work with them  within our community and  with the sporting groups brought  into the area. We’re all eager for that first puck to drop to show off what an impressive facility it is and the direct benefits it will bring to Butler County," said Cohen.

Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau will coordinate housing arrangements for the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. All tournaments booked at the complex will be outsourced exclusively to Butler County hotels, dining destinations, meeting spaces and other area businesses.
