How Can I Support Local Businesses? Let's Talk About Our Takeout

Local businesses are turning to creative solutions and innovations in order to keep their business thriving during a challenging situation. In the midst of an environment of ever changing updates and modifications, our community remains constant - we support one another!  We want our community businesses to know that we’re here for them.   

  • In an effort to bring more awareness and additional customers to Butler County's restaurants, we've started a new campaign, "Talk About Takeout."  This campaign  highlights local establishments offering takeout options and encourages customers to take photos of their food and share their experiences using #TalkAboutTakeout on social media. 

  • The concept is simple. Take a picture of your takeout food, share it on social media, along with the location and use #TalkAboutTakeout. To elevate your efforts, share the positive experiences you had. Tag the Tourism Bureau on Instagram @butlercountypa or Facebook @Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau and tell us about your foodie finds; your photo could be featured on our website and social media outlets!

  • Share Your Favorite Foodie Images for Your Chance to Win!
    The top three takeout photos submitted between now and the end of February 2021, will win a $50 Butler County Gift Certificate. Be sure to use #TalkAboutTakeout and tag us at @butlercountypa or @Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau. The three winners will be notified and announced in March.

    We encourage you to support them in anyway that you feel comfortable.  You can’t dine out at the moment, but perhaps you could order take-out, purchase a gift certificate online or via the phone to use later at your favorite café, pub, or retail establishment, pre-purchase future gifts now, post about your favorite local business on social media – whatever you can do to minimize this hardship.  You can also purchase a Butler County Gift Certificate that can be used at 90+ locations.
