Winter in Butler County

Imagine snow glistening on the tree tops, lining the roads, adding a twinkle of light to the architecture. The winter months in Butler County are typically chilly and snow-filled. It’s the perfect time to spend a weekend in one of our B&Bs, cuddling with the one you love.

Warm Up

Nothing feels better on a cold day than relaxing with a hot drink.  Visit one of our coffee shops for a relaxing and cozy experience.  You'll find friendly faces and unique options at each.

Get Out

Tired of being stuck inside during the cold season? We may not have mountains, but there are a variety of cold-weather sports to enjoy, such as cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing and ice boating. For a more laid-back outdoor experience, you could go sledding, ice skating or snowshoeing. Of course, you can always just build a snowman, make snow angels or have a friendly snowball fight.  Don't miss Winterfest on February 4th for a taste of what you can do outside in the winter.

Appreciate the Arts

Too cold to be outside? Well stay inside! Browse an art gallery, watch a dance performance, listen to the symphony or a vocal concert, or see a play. The arts are well represented in Butler County, in all forms – visual arts, music, theater, etc. Many groups do special holiday performances, so be sure to check out the calendar of events beforehand.

Dig Out Your Swimsuit

If you think swimming is only for hot weather, guess again! Conley Resort has an indoor waterpark with two slides, a pirate ship with water cannon, a sauna and a hot tub. This is open for public use and not just resort guests, although we would recommend a stay! Go and make a splash, or plan ahead for a party or special event.

Shop ‘til You Drop
