Haunted Houses & Hayrides

Portersville

Cheeseman Fright Farm

Cheeseman Fright Farm: A haunt that includes a haunted hayride, corn maze, and walk through haunted attractions. Adding to the fear factor is the area’s isolation, set on a 300 acre farm with over 100 scare actors hiding around every corner.

When: Dusk to 10PM on Fridays & Saturdays from mid-September to Halloweekend. Additional hours include Sundays from 7-9PM all October long!
Where: Cheeseman Farm, 147 Kennedy Rd., Portersville, PA 16051
Cost: General admission is $25/person and can only be purchased at the ticket booth. If you’re scared of waiting in line, a “Fright Pass” is available, getting you on the next wagon without waiting!
Age limit is left to the discretion of the children’s chaperone. All children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Renfrew

The Haunted House at the Beacon Hotel

The Haunted House at the Beacon Hotel: Climb onto the wagon, if you dare, and ride to The Beacon’s 15 acres of haunted attractions including a corn maze and haunted house.

When: Every Friday & Saturday in October, 7-10PM
Where: The Beacon Hotel, 231 Beacon Rd., Renfrew, PA 16053
Cost: $25 per person ($3.00 discount vouchers are available inside the Beacon restaurant and the Butler Eagle) Please note that ticket sales are cash only.
The age limit is left to the discretion of the children’s chaperone. All children 16 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Freedom

Zombies of the Corn

Zombies of the Corn Haunted Attraction: Ever wonder how you’d fare in a zombie apocalypse? Head to Three Rivers Paintball in Freedom, PA for their annual Halloween event. Ride along in their “Zombie Fighting Vehicle” and shoot paintballs and defend yourself from the monsters. After you’ve gone to battle, enjoy a bonfire and ghost stories, brave the walk-through zombie compound, and wander your way through the new 3D Funhouse.

When: Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays starting at the end of September through Halloweekend! The scares run from 7-10PM.
Where: Three Rivers Paintball & Airsoft, 282 Rochester Rd., Freedom, PA 15042
Cost: Prices increase with demand, so do not wait to secure your spot! Admission is $34.99 and includes access to the funhouse, maze, 150 paintballs for the Battle Wagon, Campfires, outdoor movies, and more! Upgrade your ticket for extra ammo, zombie protection, or smores at the bonfire!
Zombies of the Corn offers frights for all ages!

Nighttime in Harmony Lantern Tour: Learn all about the haunted history of Harmony during this evening walking tour. This is a select date, rain-or-shine event which is approximately 60-90 minutes long!

When: Dates and time vary, but tours are usually available May through October! Keep checking back and secure your spot ASAP.
Where: The tour begins at The Legendary Neff Haus Ice Cream Shop at 550 Main Street, Harmony, PA 16037
Cost: $18 (includes a dessert of choice from Neff Haus!)
Reservations required.

Not-So-Spooky Fun

Cranberry

Fun Fore All’s Trick or Treat

Fun Fore All’s Trick or Treat: Fun Fore All is inviting you to play their special Halloween-themed mini-golf course all October long! If you play in the evening, you’ll get to experience their spooky “glow golf” on award-winning courses!

When: Late September through Halloween from 12-8PM
Where: Fun Fore All Cranberry, 8 Progress Ave. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066
Cost: Tickets for adults & children over 12 years old are $13. Children 12 & under are $10, and children 2 years and younger are free. Each participant receives a Trick-or-Treat bag filled with candy and goodies in addition to play time!
Additional upgrades and packages can be purchased.
Howl-O-Ween is once per year.

Renfrew

No Scare Sundays at The Beacon Hotel

No Scare Sundays at The Beacon Hotel: Sunday afternoons are fright-free festivities at the Beacon Hotel where you can explore their corn maze, kids can participate in trick or treat, a petting zoo, and pony rides.

When: Two Sundays in October
Where: The Beacon Hotel, 231 Beacon Rd., Renfrew, PA 16053
Cost: Tickets are $10 for adults & kids over 5 years old. Children 5 & under are $8.

Zelienople

Moonlit Magic — Main Street Halloween Event

Moonlit Magic - Main Street Halloween Event: Whether you’re 10 or 100 years old, experience a magic night on Main Street in Zelienople! This “Hocus Pocus” affair included costumes and cackling contests, broom decorating, dancing in the moonlight and more witch-inspired fun. Stroll through participating businesses for special menus, deals, and activities for all!

When: October 17 from 5-9PM
Where: Main Street in Zelienople
Cost: Free admission!

Harmony

Sleepy Hollow Festival

Sleepy Hollow Festival: The Sleepy Hollow Festival is a two-day event that transforms the historic town of Harmony into a classic village for this annual celebration! Live music, trick or treating, pets in costume, carriage rides, and more make for a spooky celebration you’ll never forget!

When: October 12 & 13 from 10AM-4PM
Where: The center square in Harmony, PA
Cost: Free admission!

Portersville

Cheeseman Pumpkin Fest

Cheeseman Pumpkin Fest: Pick the perfect pumpkin and let the kids scream with joy! Tractors, local goodies, pumpkins and more.

When: 11AM-5PM every Saturday & Sunday from mid-September through October.
Where: Cheeseman Farm, 147 Kennedy Rd., Portersville, PA 16051
Cost: The cost of the hayride is $5/person. Children 2 years and under ride free!
Pumpkins are not included in admission. Pumpkins picked from the patch will be brought back to the barn and weighed to determine the price.

Evans City

Evans City Pumpkin Fest

Evans City Pumpkin Fest: Sharpen your knives and get ready for pumpkin pies! This annual two-day fall festival features contests, entertainment, food, and more fall fun. Compete in the pie eating contest or get creative carving a jack-o-lantern. This fan-favorite fall event has something for all ages to enjoy!

When: September 21 & 22, 10AM-4PM
Where: East Main Street, Evans City, PA 16033
Cost: Free admission!

Valencia

Freedom Farms Fall Festival

Freedom Farms Fall Festival: Pumpkin patches, pony rides, sunflower picking, corn maze, hay mountain, tractor rides, and face painting make for a full-day of family fun at Freedom Farms in Valencia, PA.

When: 11AM-5PM every Weekend in October and Columbus Day.

Harvest Valley Farms Fall Festival
