Slippery Rock Festival of Trees
Visit the North Country's "Slippery Rock Festival of Trees" and Celebrate the Season with a 35' Tree Display in Memorial Park and Local Décor with Scheduled Weekend Entertainment, Activities, and Horse Carriage Rides.
The Slippery Rock Festival of Trees is a Yule Celebration!
A unique, multi-weekend series of fun activities to usher in your Holidays!
Visit Slippery Rock Festival of Trees during December with loved ones before everyone begins traveling for other holiday obligations. Feasts mark a time to gather with loved ones, decorate for holidays, enjoy good food and hospitality. Glassblowers, breweries, and local farmers to name a few will gather to share their world food and art before Christmas with horse carriage rides and entertainment.
Please note it was in 1830, German settlers of Pennsylvania were credited for bringing the culture of evergreen trees to America. The first record of one being on display was in the 1830s by the Pennsylvania German settlers although trees had been a tradition in many German homes much earlier. The Pennsylvania German settlements had community trees as early as 1747 and since Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania was settled in 1841, we’re confident an Evergreen Tree was there!
