Butler Bikes & BBQ Returns to Butler County this Summer
The Second Annual Motorcycle Event will be held at the Butler Farm Show Grounds July 22-24
BUTLER COUNTY, PA (April 11, 2022) - Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau will be hosting the second annual Butler Bikes & BBQ event held at the Butler Farm Show Grounds on Route 68 in Butler, July 22-24. This family-friendly event will feature a variety of motorcycles, food and merchandise vendors, a bike show and kickoff ride, bike accessories, demonstrations, live entertainment, games, scenic rides and more! Butler Bikes & BBQ is open to the public and all ages are welcome to attend. Admission is free. Parking for vehicles is $5, and free for motorcycles via the Meridian Rd. entrance to the Farm Show Grounds.
To open the event, a Kickoff Ride, hosted by A.B.A.T.E. (Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education), will take place Friday evening, July 22 at 6 p.m. The Kickoff Ride is benefiting Butler County Veterans In Need, a nonprofit organization that collects and distributes funds to relieve the distress of veterans and their families during times of financial emergency. There is no registration fee to participate but donations to Butler County Veterans In Need are encouraged. A.B.A.T.E. is also organizing the rides and bike games.
This year’s Butler Bikes & BBQ will feature a myriad of hands-on activities and opportunities to see all types of motorcycles and demonstrations. Pitt Cycles will have three big rigs filled with bikes from Indian Motorcycle, BMW and Triumph Motorcycles. New Castle Harley has the Harley Davidson demo big rig rolling in with the latest from Harley. There will also be demonstrations of electric bikes, a mobile tattoo parlor, a best beard and tattoo contest, a Kids Bike Garage where bicycles can be repaired on-site for free.
Jeffrey Eric Stanton aka SIX TIME, an American former professional motocross racer will be in attendance. He is a three-time AMA 250cc Motocross and Supercross national champion. Also, the founder of Jeff Stanton Adventure Riding School, sponsored by Triumph Motorcycles. Jeff will be signing autographs under the Triumph tent and also leading four 3.5 hr rides through the countryside over the weekend.
There will be a wide range of live entertainment all weekend long! Eleven local bands will be playing at the Auditorium Pavillion, which is included with free admission. A separate concert will take place at the Grandstand Arena on Saturday, featuring acclaimed singer/songwriter/guitarist Lita Ford. This GRAMMY® nominated artist is a founding member of The Runaways and is known for her 1980s hits, “Kiss Me Deadly” and “Close My Eyes Forever”. Concert tickets are available for purchase through our website, early entry to the concert with advanced tickets. Pittsburgh-based band, A Common Crown is the opening act. Tickets are $15 presale.
The bike games, sponsored by A.B.A.T.E. will be Saturday, July 23 at 1:30 p.m. and the bike show will be Sunday, July 24 from 12- 4 p.m. Registration is required to participate in each event and prizes will be awarded.
